Siem Reap Tour Package 007 - Visit Angkor & Kulen Mountain This Siem Reap tour package which includes the holy mountain of Kulen, is quite amazing. Mount Kulen was one of the most sacred places in the Angkor Era, and is still revered today. This package is popular not only with international tourists, but with Cambodian tourists as well. Phnom Kulen, originally called Mount Mahendraparvata, is the place where King Jayavarman II (AD 802 – 850) proclaimed independence from Java in 802AD, and the birth of the Angkorian Empire. The waterfall is quite impressive, and the view from Mount Kulen is breathtaking.
